I Just Wanna Get in Shape

Family meal. Shift drinks. Employee discounts. Hoo boy do I get it. It can be really tough to maintain that healthy balance in life when you’re surrounded day in and day out with chicken wings and quesadillas. I woke up one day 30 pounds overweight. Slowly but surely my late-night decisions caught up with me, and not only had I put on the pounds, but I was exhausted all the time. I would show up for my 6 p.m. shift already bone-tired and wondering when I’d get to cut out of there and crawl back into bed.

I know how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you’re working in the restaurant industry – but I promise you, it can be done! And I’m living proof:
